Today, Thursday 26 May, Syntens Innovation Centre, Netherlands Patent Office, Mercedes-Benz and NRC Handelsblad revealed the sixth edition of their 100 best innovations list. This top 100 classification is considered as the biggest and most significant innovation award for Dutch SMEs.
Jury and assessment criteria
The jury, presided by Dr. Lexander Rinnooy Kan, this year consisted of leading entrepreneurs, investors and Journalists. They assessed the nominations based on originality, impact, degree of protection, availability and sales potential.
Assessment of Gorter’s innovation:
The new Gorter roof hatch prevents heat losses to the outside, making thermal bridges a thing of the past. Both the lid and curb are fully insulated. This also provides a good heat resistance. There is a double seal between the lid and the curb, thus creating an additional insulating cavity. The construction is robust, stable and durable. The snow load is 2,000 kg per m².
