Gorter has supplied a roof hatch with extension ladder for the new power plant under construction in Bandirma, Turkey. Siemens was responsible for the turnkey Bandirma II combined cycle (gas and steam) power plant (CCPP). The natural gas-fired Bandirma II CCPP was built on the southern coast of the Sea of Marmara, near the city of Bandirma. This plant will have a capacity of some 600 MW and efficiency of more than 60 percent.
Gorter extension ladder
The Gorter extension ladder specially customised to suit the Gorter roof hatch is made of anodised aluminium. The ladder is supplied with 2 fixed wall brackets for storage when the ladder is not in use. One of the hooks is locked with a padlock to prevent misuse. A step is provided as standard and for installation directly in the roof opening, as close as possible to the exit side of the roof hatch.
Roof hatches
All Gorter roof hatches have a cover which is completely windproof and has double sealing on all sides. The standard RHT roof hatch comes with a euro cylinder lock and, in the case of sizes larger than 1,500 mm, the hatch also has three-point locking.
