Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club is the fifth oldest golf club in England. Currently, the club is undergoing a breathtaking transformation. Contractor SEH French is constructing a state-of-the-art clubhouse alongside five luxury villas. Designed by Wincer Kievenaar, the new facilities will be highly sustainable and blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. To provide secure access to the eco-friendly roof, the project team partnered with Gorter, the market leader in roof hatches. For this impressive transformation, one RHT roof hatch combined with fixed stairs was supplied.

Eco-friendly design and excellent insulation

The new clubhouse features a sloped living roof and solar panels, aiming for an A+ energy rating. That is why the best roof hatch starts with Gorter. The installed RHT roof hatch comes with a fully thermally broken curb and cover. This innovative design ensures a proven high insulation value. It perfectly complements the building's sustainable ambitions by preventing heat loss and condensation.

Permanent and secure roof access

Maintaining a green roof and solar panels requires safe and regular access. The installed roof access hatch provides personnel and technical staff with a practical route to the roof. Combined with a fixed staircase, it offers a robust and permanent access solution to the solar panel installation.

Furthermore, the entire Gorter combination is TÜV NORD certified and carries a CE marking, ensuring maximum safety for all users.
