1In the historic district of North Adelaide, Australia, a unique renovation has been completed on a heritage-listed cottage from the 1890s. One of the most striking features of this renovation is the installation of a modern glass floor door, which offers access to a fully restored bluestone wine cellar.

In a time when the importance of energy efficiency and sustainability in the construction sector is becoming increasingly prominent, thermal insulation of flat roofs is crucial. Buildings are being better insulated to maximize energy efficiency.

For comprehensive roof insulation, it is essential that all components, including roof hatches, have a high insulation value. This ensures optimal insulation of the building envelope.

Flat roof windows executed as a glass roof hatch not only provide daylight and ventilation but also offer aesthetic and functional benefits for use in both residential and commercial buildings. With excellent thermal insulation properties and a robust construction, they represent the ideal alternative to traditional skylights, while also providing possibilities for roof access.
