In the Netherlands, a new masterpiece has been put on the map: the renewed RHT roof hatch of Gorter®. Although the company has only existed for nearly 100 years, these roof hatches could perhaps be seen as a symbol of national pride comparable to the famous Delfts Blue.
A new trend in the field of roof hatches! Gorter® is now offering the exclusive Gorter Black Edition roof hatch. The roof hatch is very sustainable, with the inside being manufactured entirely from recycled - regenerated synthetic materials. This roof hatch is so special that only a few hundred of them have been made. So, availability is limited.
Indestructible construction, Made in Holland
Gorter introduces the new generation of RHT roof hatches. These roof hatches feature an extremely strong and patented construction. Thanks to several modifications, the roof hatch is even more resistant against unexpected extreme loads, both during construction and in general use.
People used to go on the roof once a year, but these days the roof is accessed much more frequently. Access is not only for roof maintenance, but also for maintenance of climate systems, GSM masts and solar panels. Safety is paramount when accessing the roof. Here are two steps on how you can safely access the roof.

The new Gorter® WAEI fire-resistant floor door was tested by Efectis in December 2016 according to European EN 1634-1:2014 standard. The test established that the hinged steel floor door is fire-resistant for 120 minutes and amply meets the required standard.
The success of the Gorter glazed roof hatches continues following the launch of the new RHTG roof hatch fitted with triple insulating glass known as triple glazing. Glazed roof hatches are often used to access roof terraces and roof gardens and, in this new type of glazing complemented by yet another size option, they offer even more advantages!
The fire resistance of Gorter’s largest fire-resistant wall hatch measuring 800 x 800 mm was recently tested according to EN 1634-1:2014. The test carried out under ISO 17025 accreditation was very successful, with the hatch more than meeting the set requirements. An official declaration can now be issued, and will apply not only at a national (previously associated with KOMO) but also a European level.
Gorter supplies ultra-insulated roof hatches for Colruyt supermarkets in Belgium and France. The use of these roof hatches and the subsequent energy savings fit in well with the energy-neutral vision of the supermarkets.
