Innovation and quality

Product innovation and product quality are central to Gorter's activities. Where many suppliers follow and copy, Gorter is constantly developing new functionalities and improvements for roof access. With Gorter you can be sure of roof access that meets the very latest requirements and also makes use of the latest technologies... and all this at a very attractive price.

Roof access innovations from our own development department

With our own development department and factory, product innovation is just one of the priorities within the organisation. The development department has therefore also paved the way for the patented explosion release control, the fully thermally broken roof hatch construction, the luminous hand rail and the GS55 self-adjusting fixed staircase.

Innovation based on user experience

Innovation based on user experience is very important within the entire innovation policy. This also looks at operating safety, ease of installation, durability, the environment and simplicity of operation.

Roof hatches made from high-grade aluminium

All standard roof hatches are made of high quality aluminium, which is anodized for additional protection, and later also treated with an 80 micron powder coating layer. The Gorter ladders and stairs, such as the scissor stair, ladder and fixed staircase, are also made from high grade corrosion resistant aluminium.

Roof hatch resistant to high-impact loads

Due to the increasingly stringent requirements imposed on construction products, Gorter roof hatches recently underwent Soft Body Impact testing. In those tests, the largest roof hatches of the RHT type were subjected to, among other things, impact resistance testing according to EN 13049 Class 5 and the falling ball test according to EN 356 Class P5A. This confirms that the performance of all roof hatches in the RHT Series complies with the above EN standards.

General load capacity of roof hatches

The general load capacity of the roof hatches is 1,050 kg/m² (according to EN 1993-1-1).
