Gorter has supplied a number of explosion vents in Rotterdam. These explosion vents - also known as explosion hatches - are installed in 25 kV stations. Gorter explosion vents have a unique Explosion Release Control (ERC). The ERC ensures that the roof hatch opens immediately if the pressure increases inside the lid. Gorter explosion vents are supplied only in aluminium. The lid of the roof hatch must not be impeded by obstacles inside or out.
