Gorter has supplied a roof hatch for Muscat international Airport, the largest project in the history of Oman. Large open spaces with lots of glass give the building a distinctive look. Many sound-deadening building materials are used in the building itself. Gorter roof hatches are also used for this purpose. Noise can also enter the building via the roof. The roof hatch has a sound insulation of 26 dB. The soundproof roof hatch is supplied with an electric scissor stair. The electric scissor stair has a powerful motor and comes with a remote control. The roof can be accessed safely for maintenance and inspection work or to service roof installations such as air-conditioning units.
