Gorter introduces a new generation of RHTEP roof hatches: extremely well-insulated roof hatches specifically developed for sustainable construction projects with high insulation requirements, such as passive house concepts.
The entire roof hatch construction achieves a proven Uw value of ≤ 0.198 W/(m²·K). This makes the roof hatch perfectly suited to a market where energy savings and environmental certifications are becoming increasingly important.

Energy savings and additional benefits
The fully thermally broken roof hatch construction prevents thermal bridges and condensation. In combination with 140 mm insulation, this ensures a comfortable indoor climate, lower energy costs and excellent energy performance.
Roof hatch with CE and ETA-18/0287
The RHTEP roof hatch is equipped with a European Technical Assessment (ETA), which independently verifies its performance and CE marking. This is unique within the roof access solutions segment.
Advantages
- Fully thermally broken construction
- High comfort in the space below
- No condensation
- Energy-saving – suitable for passive house, BREEAM and LEED projects
- Designed and manufactured in Holland
- Good sound insulation (traffic and HVAC systems)
- 10-year warranty
Also available as a complete roof access solution
RHTEP roof hatches can be combined with a ladder, scissor stair or fixed staircase from Gorter®. This creates a complete, safe and perfectly integrated roof access solution supplied with certification.
