Safe roof access

Do you have a flat roof on your building or in your building design? Then Gorter offers a safe solution for roof access using a roof hatch. Roof hatches are available with closed and glass covers, but also in a fire-resistant or explosion vent design. A roof hatch can easily be integrated in an existing or new building. Unlike with a roof structure, the appearance of your building is not disturbed with this form of roof access and you do not need to apply for additional permits.

Roof access for maintenance and inspection

The Gorter roof hatches make maintenance and inspection of roofs easy. You access the roof via the floors and stairs in your building, making risky work with separate ladders or lift platforms a thing of the past. You can also transport materials like roofing material to the roof easily via this roof access.

Roof hatch with matching climbing equipment

Virtually all Gorter roof hatches are available as a complete solution for roof access. Gorter delivers a roof hatch with matching safety ladder, scissor stair or fixed stair. Uniquely, these combinations are fully TÜV NORD-certified. This is in accordance with the standards EN ISO 14122-3: 2002-01, EN 14975: 2007-03, EN 131-1: 2007-08, EN 131-2: 1993-04 and EN 131-3: 2010-01. Partly due to this certification, but also the CE (ETA) label of the roof hatches, a risk assessment required by the Health and Safety Executive can be carried out quickly.

Maintenance and cleaning of solar panels

Do you have solar panels? Then you will regularly have to access the roof to inspect and clean these. Cleaning the panels is important for ensuring the yield of your installation. Additionally, an inspection guarantees the safety of the system. With a Gorter roof hatch you can safely access the roof and also bring along simple measuring equipment, spare parts and cleaning products. A large roof hatch even allows you to transport the panels to the roof through the hatch.
