The Large Electric scissor stair is ideal for use where the space below must remain free when the stair is not in use. The stair cover therefore closes flush with the ceiling.
The Large Electric scissor stair can be combined with an RHT7014 roof hatch with an opening of 700 x 1,400 mm.
A powerful motor drives the Gorter electric scissor stairs. The system comes with a control unit and a wireless RF remote control as standard.
The standard Large Electric scissor stair is suitable for ceiling heights up to 3,000 mm. The Large-H version can be used with ceiling heights up to 3,500 mm. If the ceiling height is lower, the Large and Large-H versions can be shortened by removing one or two of the intermediate scissor sections and reinstating the bottom element. Small variations in the floor height can be corrected adjusting the telescopic handrail and treads.
The construction of the scissor stair and the material used guarantee a high level of stability and long-term safe usage. The scissor stair has a casing and wooden cover underneath. The handrail is supplied separately and is easy to fit. The scissor stair comes mounted on the cover and is made of high-quality cast aluminium. Gorter ladders are supplied with Aboma Safety Approval, TÜV NORD certificate and ''Baumuster geprüft'' label.
Unlike the standard Large scissor stair, the Large Electric scissor stair cannot be used with a scissor stair extension to bridge a plenum (= space between suspended ceiling and roof).
Retractable scissor stairs - attic ladders consist of a casing with a wooden ceiling panel. A hand rail is included and easy to install. The stair is fixed hinged on the internal surface of the ceiling and is made of cast aluminium. A hook-on rod is included.
Scissor stairs - attic ladders are supplied for a standard ceiling height of 3 meters. If the ceiling height differs ± 10 mm please adjust the telescopic handrail and level the steps.
To shorten on site: remove one or two scissor elements and reinstall the bottom element.
Extension: is possible as an option, except the extension of type S+, Large electric, EI60, Large-H and XL-H.
The material choice and construction provides a high stability and load bearing capacity. The load is tested up to 150 kg.
